Mars Hill’s Mullen, Lenoir-Rhyne’s Mullins Named SAC Soccer Players of the Week
Mars Hill sophomore Alex Mullen and Lenoir-Rhyne freshman Leah Mullins have been selected as the SAC Soccer Players of the Week, the league office announced on Wednesday.
ROCK HILL, S.C. – Mars Hill sophomore Alex Mullen and Lenoir-Rhyne freshman Leah Mullins have been selected as the SAC Soccer Players of the Week, the league office announced on Wednesday.
Mullen, the men's soccer Player of the Week, led Mars Hill to a 2-0 week with a SAC-best six points. In the Lions' season-opening win against then-No. 12 Barry, Mullen tallied two goals, including the game-winner.
Mullen then added an assist in MHC's 5-1 victory over King. Behind Mullen, the Lions vaulted to No. 9 in this week's NSCAA national rankings.

Mullins, the women's soccer Player of the Week, kicked off her collegiate career with an assist in Lenoir-Rhyne's opening victory over Georgia College. The forward then scored a pair of goals in L-R's 3-1 win against Lander, helping the Bears move up to No. 6 in the latest national rankings.
Mullins' five points are currently the second most in the SAC.
