Rock Hill, S.C.----The second-seeded Wingate University Bulldogs picked up a 2-0 victory over seventh-seeded Lenoir-Rhyne University Tuesday afternoon in the opening round of the 2015 South Atlantic Conference men's soccer tournament at Manchester Meadows. HARROGATE, Tenn. -- With the final seconds of the Railsplitters' season unfolding right before their eyes, Nick Spielman (Melbourne, Fla.) knocked in the game-tying goal with 1.1 seconds remaining in regulation to send three-seeded Lincoln Memorial (10-3-2) and sixth-seeded Tusculum (9-6-2) into overtime in the quarterfinals of the South Atlantic Conference Championship. After the two 10-minute overtime periods passed without consequence, the Railsplitters then advanced past the Pioneers and into the semifinals of the SAC Championship with a 5-3 penalty kick shootout victory.
