Lenoir-Rhyne's Morillas Named to Google Cloud Academic All-America® Men's Soccer First Team
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lenoir-Rhyne's Ruben Morillas was selected to the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-America® Men's Soccer First Team on Wednesday (Dec. 5).
Morillas, a senior midfielder from Madrid, Spain, has a 4.00 grade point average and is graduating with a degree in business administration. He led the Bears to a 11-6 (7-3 SAC) record, earning the first SAC regular season title in program history. While playing in 16 matches with 15 starts, he helped anchor a Bears' defense, adding an assist on the offensive side. Morillas became the first men's soccer student-athlete to earn first team Academic All-America® in Lenoir-Rhyne history.

The 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-America® Women's Soccer Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The Google Cloud Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
The Division II and III Google Cloud Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2018-19 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
