Wingate's Jara Named to United Soccer Coaches Men's Scholar All-America Third Team

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate senior goalkeeper Pablo Jara been named to the 2018 United Soccer Coaches Men's Scholar All-America third team. This honor follows up his All-South Region selection earlier today (Dec. 10).  

Jara was one of two keepers on the third team. The native of Santiago, Chile has a 3.41 grade point average while majoring in sports management.

On the pitch, Jara started 12 games, playing in over 1100 minutes. He allowed just 19 goals with 41 saves for a save percentage of .683. Jara went 5-5-1 with four shutouts to his credit.
