The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf Men's Soccer Players of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Men's Soccer Players of the Week for matches played during the seventh week of the spring season. Newberry midfielder Troy Paul was named the offensive player of the week, while Carson-Newman goalkeeper Bram Kaarsgaren was named defensive player of the week.
Paul, a junior from Charlotte, N.C., scored a goal and had an assist for three points in the Wolves 3-2 win over Queens.
Kaarsgaren, a junior from Den Bosch, Netherlands, led the Eagles to a 3-0 win over Tusculum. He earned the shutout by making four saves in 90 minutes of action.
