Trojans Tabbed No. 4 in Opening Week of United Soccer Coaches National Poll, Claim Top Spot in Southeast Regional Poll
KANSAS CITY, Mo.-- The United Soccer Coaches released their first polls of the regular season on Tuesday afternoon, naming Anderson as No. 4 in the National Poll and No. 1 in the Southeast Regional Poll.
Anderson sits fourth in the national rankings behind Lynn University, California State University-Los Angeles and Colorado State University-Pueblo. The Trojans are the only South Atlantic Conference school in the Top-25, though Coker received votes.
The Black and Gold sit stop the Southeast Region list, ahead of North Georgia and North Greenville—two non-conference battles on the Trojans' upcoming schedule. Coker and Lander round out the regional Top-5.
The Trojans have boasted an impressive 2-0 start to the season, putting up back-to-back 4-1 victories. They travel to play Montevallo tomorrow (Sept. 10) and will host Emory & Henry for the SAC opener on Sunday (Sept. 14).
