The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week, March 14

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Tusculum's Tim Stierle has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played March 7-13, the League announced today.

Stierle, a sophomore from Boblingen, Germany, went 3-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles for the Pioneers last week.  He picked up a straight set 6-3, 7-6 win over Division I George Mason on March 7 at the No. 1 flight and followed with a 6-3, 6-4 win against No. 47 Northwood.  He closed his week out with a 6-0, 6-1 win against Kutztown.  In doubles play, he teamed with Jonas Winkleman to pick up a 6-4 win vs. George Mason and an 8-5 win against Kutztown.  The award is his first Player of the Week nod this season.
