Wingate's Canyadell Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Tennis Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate's Josep Canyadell has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played during week one of the 2020 season, the Conference announced today.

Canyadell, a junior from Lieda, Spain, led the No. 4 Bulldogs to 6-1 win over Belmont Abbey in their season-opening match last week. He recorded a 6-3 victory at No. 1 doubles with partner Daniel Belsito, while adding a 6-1, 7-5 win at No. 2 singles.

This is Canyadell's first Player of the Week selection this season.
