Wingate's Giacomini Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Tennis Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate's Enrico Giacomini has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played during week five of the 2021 season, the Conference announced today.

Giacomini, s senior from Vicenza, Italy, went 4-0 last week, while leading the No. 16 Bulldogs to a pair of wins over Grand Valley State and Coker. Along with No. 2 doubles partner Tolunay Sumer, Giacomini picked up a 6-2 win over GVSU and a 7-5 win over Coker. He then was victorious at No. 1 singles, winning 6-1, 6-2 against GVSU and 6-2, 6-1 versus Coker.

This is Giacomini's first Player of the Week selection this season.
