Lincoln Memorial's Giurea Earns Academic All-America® Honors
ROCK HILL, S.C. (June 3, 2026) – Lincoln Memorial men's tennis student-athlete Alexandru Rares Giurea has been named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America® Men's Tennis Team, earning NCAA Division II Second Team honors.
Giurea, a senior from Lincoln Memorial, was recognized for his outstanding accomplishments both on the court and in the classroom. A Business Analytics major, he carries a 3.90 grade-point average and was one of just 13 NCAA Division II men's tennis student-athletes selected to the Academic All-America® Team.
The Academic All-America® program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and academically. To be eligible, student-athletes must be key contributors to their teams while maintaining exceptional academic credentials.
Giurea helped lead the Railsplitters throughout the 2025-26 season while excelling in the classroom, becoming one of the nation's premier examples of success in collegiate athletics and academics.
The College Sports Communicators Academic All-America® program is one of the most prestigious academic honors in college athletics, celebrating student-athletes who achieve excellence both in competition and in their academic pursuits.
