The South Atlantic Conference Announces Astroturf Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for events during this past weekend of the 2019-20 season. Lincoln Memorial earned the track honors with Jalesia Tillman and Carson-Newman gathered the field honors with Nathalie Schumacher.

A sophomore sprinter, Tillman shattered a Railsplitter school record in the 60m with a time of 7.82, besting the previous standard mark of 7.93. This is Tillman's first Track Athlete of the Week honor this season.

A senior jumper, Schumacher took gold in the high jump at the ETSU Invitational this past weekend, with a mark of 1.68m in her first ever collegiate meet. This is Schumacher's first Field Athlete of the Week honor this season.
