SAC Names Track and Field Athletes of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. – The SAC on Wednesday announced its final outdoor track and field athletes of the week, honoring athletes from Wingate, Queens and Mars Hill.
SAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week | Justin Brown, Wingate
Brown set a pair of Wingate records on Saturday at the Johnson C. Smith Invitational. He placed fourth in the event's 100-meter dash in a time of 10.72, and competed on the Bulldogs' 4x100 meter relay team that set another school record of 41.19.
SAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week | Astute Evans, Wingate
Evans won the triple jump at the Johnson C. Smith Invitational Saturday, leaping 14.72 meters. He also finished ninth in the JCSU Invite long jump with his mark of 6.40 meters.
SAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week | Jessica Viscusi, Mars Hill
Viscusi was second overall and first among Division II competitors in the Western Carolina Catamount Classic 1,500 meter run, posting a school-record time of 4:47.12.
SAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week | Ella Fox, Queens
Fox won the javelin throw at the Johnson C. Smith Invitational with a distance of 41.56 meters, setting a Queens program record. Her performance was also an NCAA qualifying mark.
