Wingate Tabbed as Men's Outdoor Track and Field Favorites; Athletes to Watch Announced

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The Wingate Bulldogs have been picked as the top team in the 2025 South Atlantic Conference Men's Outdoor Track & Field Preseason Poll, the League announced Friday (March 21). The Bulldogs picked up 12 first-place votes and received 144 points from the league's head coaches.

Lenoir-Rhyne placed second in the poll with 133 points and collected the remaining one first-place vote. Catawba took third with 107 points, and Anderson was voted No. 4 with 104 points. Carson-Newman came in at No. 5 with 102 points, followed by Tusculum at No. 6 with 85 points.

Limestone took the No. 7 spot with 80 points, while Mars Hill took the No. 8 spot with 63 points. Lincoln Memorial earned 57 points to come in at No. 9, while Newberry finished at 53 points in tenth. Emory & Henry had 43 points in the No. 11 spot, Coker had 28 points for No. 12, and UVA Wise took No. 13 with 14 points.

The 2025 SAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships will take place April 30 – May 1 at the Lenoir-Rhyne University track in Hickory, N.C.
