The SAC Announces WePlayed Sports Men's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Men's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for meets contested during the fourth week of competition. Wingate's Titouan Le Grix earned the track honor while Mars Hill's Will Wainwright earned the field honor.
Le Grix, a senior distance runner from Baillargues, France, won the men's 1500 meters in the Duke Invitational this past weekend. Le Grix posted a personal-best, school-record and 2025 NCAA Division II number one time of 3:41.39 to take the Duke gold medal. Earlier this season, Le Grix ran a school-record 5000 meters time of 13:28.23 at the Raleigh Relays. His 5000 meters mark is the No. 1 NCAA Division II time this season and the No. 4 NCAA Division II all-time mark.
Wainwright, a freshman thrower from O'Brien, Fla., took first place in the javelin at the UNC-Asheville Bulldog Invitational with a throw of 61.25m. That throw is a new school record and an NCAA Division II Provisional mark.
