The SAC Announces WePlayed Sports Men's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Men's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for meets contested during the final week of competition. Emory & Henry swept the weekly honors with Will Humphrey II earned the track honor while Gavin Lee earned the field honor.

Humphrey, a sophomore sprinter from Charlotte, N.C., won both of his events at the inaugural Blue & Gold Track Classic. Humphrey won the 100 meters in 10.33 seconds to break his school record and also claimed the 200 meters in record time of 21.55 seconds.

Lee, a junior thrower from North Tazewell, Va., won the hammer throw and discus at the inaugural Blue & Gold Track Classic over the weekend. He broke his school record in the hammer at 56.99 meters which ranks 34th in D2. He also notched a 47.88 meter throw in the discus.
