Catawba's Fowler Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com)– The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets competed in during the first week of the 2021 season. Catawba's Matthew Fowler was named the runner of the week. 

Fowler, a sophomore from Concord, N.C., won the Catawba Fleet Feet Invite's 8k and helped the team to a victory in the season-opening event. The sophomore covered the course in a time of 25:58 and took the win by 19 seconds, which marked his first individual win.
