Catawba's Ramirez Named South Atlantic Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets competed in during the second week of the season. Catawba's Erick Ramirez was named the runner of the week.

Ramirez, a junior from Dobson, N.C., took home first place honors at the Converse Kick-off last week. He shaved 50 seconds off his time from his first meet, winning the 8k event with a time of 24:44, an average of 4:58 per mile. With the win, Ramirez now holds the sixth-best 8k time in program history.
