Wingate Men's Cross Country Ranked No. 3 in USTFCCCA National Poll; Three Additional SAC Teams Make Preseason List

NEW ORLEANS – Wingate men's cross country was named a National Top Five Team after being voted third in the USTFCCCA NCAA DII Men's Cross Country National Coaches' Poll for the 2023 season.
The Bulldogs will build off a monumental season that saw them finish on the podium for the first time in program history and record the highest ever finish by a Southeast Region program. Scott Nutter (22nd) and company will attempt to lower the 56-second spread that led to the fireworks.
Joining Wingate in the men's poll is Anderson at No. 29.
On the women's side, Wingate was tied at No. 19 with Pittsburg State in the USTFCCCA NCAA DII Women's Cross Country National Coaches' Poll. Catawba also made an appearance in the poll, earning the No. 28 spot. Receiving votes in the poll was Anderson.
