12 Student-Athletes Named to NFCA All-Region Squad
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference placed 12 student-athletes on the 2026 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division II Southeast All-Region Teams, including six First Team selections.
Lenoir-Rhyne led all SAC institutions with four all-region honorees, all earning First Team distinction. Carson-Newman followed with four selections, while Anderson added two honorees and Wingate and Mars Hill each had one selection.
The Bears swept three of the four battery positions on the First Team as pitchers Madison Wilson and Faith Carrigan, catcher Lani Warren and third baseman Madison Primm were all recognized.
Carson-Newman was represented by First Team selection Macauley Bailey, while Grace Gregory, Malyiah Smith and Addie Saunders earned Second Team honors.
Anderson saw Carson Hobbs collect First Team honors, while Lauren Brakovec was named to the Second Team.
Additional SAC honorees included Kamryn Akins of Mars Hill and Lily Huneycutt of Wingate on the Second Team.
