The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Women's Basketball Players of the Week, Dec. 15

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Anderson guard Lesley Woods has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Dec. 8-14, the League announced today.

Woods, a senior from Raleigh, N.C., poured in a career-high 30 points to lead the Trojans to a 79-67 win over Georgia College on Dec. 13.  She connected on eight triples to become the first Trojan with eight three-pointers in a game since 2011.  Woods added eight from the floor and six from the line in the win.  She also dished out two assists and came away with two rebounds and a pair of steals against the Bobcats.  The honor marks her first Player of the Week selection this season.

Also nominated for Women's Basketball Player of the Week: Chelsea Turner (Brevard) and Camille Glymph (Mars Hill).
