The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, Feb. 2
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Catawba forward Jada Huntley has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Jan. 26-Feb. 1, the League announced today.
Huntly, a sophomore from Indian Trail, N.C., averaged 25 points per game and knocked down 66 percent from the floor to lead the Catawba Indians to a pair of South Atlantic Conference wins last week. She got her week started with 30 points as she connected on 73 percent from the field, three from downtown and 5-for-5 at the line in Catawba's 80-72 win over Lenoir-Rhyne on Jan. 28. She also pulled down eight rebounds and came away with three steals against the Bears. At Carson-Newman on Jan. 31, Huntley stayed hot as she poured in 20 points, to go along with five steals and five rebounds in an 87-78 win over the Eagles.
