The South Atlantic Conference Posts Four Women's Basketball Teams in the NCAA Regional Rankings
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference posted four teams in the NCAA Regional Women's Basketball Rankings, the NCAA announced today. Anderson led the way for the SAC in the Southeast Region at No. 3, while Wingate earned the No. 5 position. Newberry was slated at No. 6 and Carson-Newman rounded out the list for the SAC at No. 8.
The Trojans are currently ranked No. 22 in the Division II National Media Poll and are 21-3 overall. The Bulldogs are 19-8 on the 2015 campaign, while Newberry sports an overall record of 18-8. Carson-Newman is currently 16-9 this season.
The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Committee up to the NCAA Championship selections.
