The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, Dec. 5

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Mars Hill guard Paige Chavis has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Nov. 28-Dec. 5, the League announced today.

Chavis, a senior from Lexington, N.C., averaged 22 points per game to lead her squad to a 1-1 record last week.  She got her week going with 24 points and 15 rebounds in a 79-75 win over Livingstone on Nov. 30.  She also chipped in six assists and four steals in the win.  Three days later against Wingate, Chavis posted 20 points, four boards, five assists and two steals.  The award is her first Player of the Week honor this season.
