The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, Dec. 12

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Anderson guard Heather Jankowy has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Dec. 5-11, the League announced today.

Jankowy, a senior from Walhalla, S.C., scored a career-high 24 points on 8-of-13 from the floor and connected on a career -best six three-pointers to lead her squad to a 70-55 win over then No. 26 Newberry on Dec. 10.  She finished the contest with 6-of-11 from downtown and added a pair at the line.  Jankowy also corralled five rebounds and dished out a pair of assists in the win.  The honor is her first Player of the Week selection this season.
