Carson-Newman's Price Named AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during Jan. 2 through Jan. 6. Carson-Newman's Haris Price garnered the Player of the Week honor.

A senior guard, Price led the Eagles to a conference victory over Catawba with 39 points in the contest. The Gatlinburg, Tenn. native shot 80 percent from the floor (16-for-20), including 66.7 percent from three-point range, and went 5-for-6 from the free-throw line. Price added three rebounds, two assists, and three steals in the winning effort. This is Price's first Player of the Week honor of the season.
