Carson-Newman's Marosites Named Astroturf Women's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) –The South Atlantic Conference announced the AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the ninth week of the 2019-20 season. Carson-Newman's Kayla Marosites earns this week's Player of the Week honor.

A senior guard, Marosites helped lead the Eagles to 2-0 conference record this past weekend, with 24 points and 13 rebounds against Lenoir-Rhyne and 17 points and 11 rebounds versus Queens. Overall the Elizabethton Tenn. native shot 48.3 percent from the floor and went 9-for-12 from the free-throw line. This is Marosites second Player of the Week honor of the season.
