Carson-Newman's Wykle Named Astroturf Women's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) –The South Atlantic Conference announced the AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the eleventh week of the 2019-20 season. Carson-Newman's Braelyn Wykle earns this week's Player of the Week honor.

A freshman guard, Wykle helped lead the Eagles to a perfect 2-0 conference record this past weekend, with a career high 29 points and 3 rebounds against UVa-Wise while adding another 23 points versus Wingate. Overall the Greenville, Tenn. native shot 54.3 percent from the floor, including hitting 7-of-12 three-point baskets against the Cavaliers. This is Wykle's first Player of the Week honor of the season.
