Carson-Newman's Marosites Named Astroturf Women's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) –The South Atlantic Conference announced the AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the thirtieth week of the 2019-20 season. Carson-Newman's Kayla Marosites earns this week's Player of the Week honor.

A senior guard, Marosites helped lead the Eagles to a perfect 2-0 conference record this past weekend. She put up 18 points and nine rebounds against Coker, while adding 15 points and 11 rebounds verses Mars Hill. Overall the Elizabethton Tenn. native pulled together 33 points while shooting 55.6 percent from the floor. This is Marosites third Player of the Week honor of the season.
