Carson-Newman's Taylor Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) –The South Atlantic Conference announced the AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played in the second week of the 2021-21 season. Carson-Newman's Lindsey Taylor earns this week's Player of the Week honor.

A junior forward Taylor, helped lead the Eagles to a 2-0 record this past weekend. She picked up 26 points, 11 rebounds and one assist in their win over Tusculum, while garnering 17 points, 13 rebounds and three assists against Queens. Taylor played a total of 55 minutes and averaged 17.0 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. Overall, the Maryville, Tenn., native averaged 51.7 percent from the floor, while also going 15-for-29 from the field. This is Taylor's first Player of the Week honor this season.
