Carson-Newman's Taylor Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) –The South Atlantic Conference announced the AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played in the fifth week of the 2021-21 season. Carson-Newman's Lindsey Taylor earns this week's Player of the Week honor.

A junior forward Taylor, helped lead the Eagles to a 2-0 record this past weekend. She picked up 27 points, and eight rebounds in their win over UVA Wise, while garnering 16 points, seven rebounds and three assists in a thrilling win against Newberry. Taylor played a total of 48 minutes and averaged 21.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. Overall, the Maryville, Tenn., native averaged 78.3 percent from the floor, while also going 18-for-23 from the field. This is Taylor's second Player of the Week honor this season.
