Catawba and Wingate Ranked in WBCA NCAA DII Top 25 Coaches' Poll
ROCK HILL (TheSAC.com) - The Catawba College Indians and the Wingate Bulldogs are ranked at No. 20 and No. 23 respectively, in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) NCAA Division II Poll released on Tuesday (Jan. 25).
The Catawba Indians went 9-2 in conference play and 11-4 overall last season while also making and NCAA regional semifinal appearance. The Wingate Bulldogs went 9-9 in conference play and 10-10 overall in the 2020-21 season.
The Catawba Indians are currently ranked second in SAC play (12-2) and a 15-2 overall record while the Bulldogs, are ranked first and have a conference record of 14-0 and an overall record of 16-1. Also receiving votes in this weeks poll was Crason-Newman.
