Anderson's McNeill Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) –The South Atlantic Conference announced the AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played in the twelfth week of the 2021-21 season, Anderson's Shameka McNeill earns this week's Player of the Week honor.

A graduate student, McNiell, helped lead the Trojans to a 2-0 record this past weekend. She picked up 28 points, three steals, five three-pointers and five rebounds in their win over Tusculum while garnering 36 points, seven three-pointers and five rebounds in a win over Coker. Overall, the Charlotte, N.C., native averaged 55.8 percent from the floor, 32.0 points per game and 5.0 rebounds per game. This is McNeill's second consecutive Player of the Week honor this season.
