Tusculum's Dixon Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) –The South Atlantic Conference announced the AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played in the fourteenth week of the 2021-21 season, Tusculum's Brianna Dixon earns this week's Player of the Week honor.

A senior forward, Dixon, helped lead the Pioneers to a 3-0 record this past weekend. She picked up 19 points, seven rebounds, three three-pointers and seven assists in their first win over Mars Hill while garnering 13 points, two three-pointers, one assist and two rebounds in their second win over the Lions. She ended the week by tallying 22 points, 13 rebounds and two assists in a win over Limestone. Overall, the Decatur, Ga., native averaged 48.8 percent from the floor, 18.0 points per game, 7.0 rebounds per game and 3.3 assists per game. This is Dixon's first Player of the Week honor this season.
