Five Schools Ranked in Latest NCAA DII Women's Basketball Regional Rankings

ROCK HILL, S.C. (thesac.com) - Five SAC programs were ranked in the latest NCAA Women's Basketball Regional Rankings, released Wednesday (Feb. 28).

Catawba earned the No. 1 seed in the region with a 20-4 overall record. Anderson followed at No. 2 with a 19-7 overall record, while Carson-Newman landed at No. 4 with a 19-8 overall record. Wingate took the No. 5 rank with an overall record of 18-8, and Lenoir-Rhyne earned the No. 6 rank with an overall record of 20-7.

The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Committee up to the NCAA Championship selections.
