Anderson's McDowell Brings Home SAC WePlayed Sports Women's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Anderson forward Diamond McDowell has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week 13 of the 2024-25 season, the Conference announced today.

McDowell, a senior from Asheboro, N.C., led Anderson to wins over Limestone and Catawba with a massive week. McDowell averaged 20.5 points and 20.5 rebounds per game in the two victories while adding 2.5 assists per game. Against Limestone, she went off for 23 points and 22 boards and moved her to No. 1 in Anderson's career rebounding list. She followed that up with 18 points and 19 boards in a 10-point win over Catawba. In the two games, she played 77 out of 80 minutes.
