Five SAC Women’s Basketball Programs Listed in NCAA Southeast Region Rankings
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) — Five South Atlantic Conference women's basketball programs are featured in the latest NCAA Division II Southeast Region rankings released this week, underscoring the conference's continued strength as the postseason nears. The rankings are listed numerically by the NCAA and reflect action through Feb. 22, 2026.
The NCAA Division II Southeast Region rankings are an important reference for the NCAA Tournament selection committee as it formulates the field later this season. The top eight teams in the region advance to the NCAA Tournament, with automatic berths going to the conference tournament champions from the South Atlantic Conference, Conference Carolinas and Peach Belt Conference. The remaining at-large spots will be filled based on regional positioning and overall resumes.
