LMU Leads After 36 Rounds at Day One of SAC Women's Golf Championship
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – After 36 holes of stroke play at the 2026 South Atlantic Conference Women's Golf Championship, the Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters sit atop the team leaderboard heading into Monday's final round of stroke play at The Preserve at Verdae in Greenville, S.C.
Lincoln Memorial holds the lead at 583 (288-295), owning a 12-shot advantage over Wingate, who is second at 595 (296-299). Catawba is third at 600, followed by Anderson in fourth at 609. Carson-Newman rounds out the top five at 615.
The top four teams following Monday's final 18 holes will advance to Tuesday's medal match play semifinals.
Individually, Lincoln Memorial's Dilyara Bulambayeva leads the field at even-par 144 after rounds of 72 and 72. She is one of three Railsplitters inside the top 10, helping pace LMU's strong start.
Wingate's duo of Amely Bochaton and Olivia Meinecke are tied for second at 145 (+1), keeping the Bulldogs within striking distance entering the final round.
Tusculum's Delfin Filiz sits fourth overall at 146 (+2), while multiple players are tied for fifth at 147 (+3), including Lincoln Memorial's Ruby McLellan and Catawba's Rachel Carlson.
The leaderboard remains tightly packed behind the top two teams, with just 26 strokes separating second-place Wingate and fifth-place Carson-Newman, setting up a competitive final day with match play berths on the line.
The championship concludes Monday with the final round of stroke play, where the field will be trimmed to four teams. Those four squads will advance to Tuesday's medal match play semifinals, with the winners meeting for the SAC Championship title.
