Wingate's Bochaton Goes Back-to-Back as SAC Champion; Wingate, LMU, Anderson and Catawba Advance to Medal Match Play

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate's Amely Bochaton claimed medalist honors for a second consecutive season and four teams punched their ticket to medal match play following the completion of stroke play at the 2026 South Atlantic Conference Women's Golf Championship on Monday at The Preserve at Verdae.
Bochaton paced the field with a three-round total of 215 (-1), becoming the only player in the tournament to finish under par. The Wingate standout carded rounds of 70, 75 and 70 to secure the top individual honor.
As a team, Wingate also captured the top seed heading into match play, finishing with a three-day total of 885 (+21). The Bulldogs will be joined in Tuesday's medal match play by Lincoln Memorial, Anderson and Catawba, who rounded out the top four.
Lincoln Memorial earned the No. 2 seed at 888 (+24), followed by Anderson in third at 903 (+39) and Catawba in fourth at 904 (+40).
Wingate placed two players inside the top two individually, as Olivia Meinecke finished runner-up at even par (216), while Catawba's Rachel Carlson placed third at 218 (+2). Lincoln Memorial's Dilyara Bulambayeva finished fourth at 220 (+4), and Anderson teammates Aly Francis and Paige Paolucci tied for fifth at 222 (+6).
The championship now shifts to medal match play on Tuesday, where the top-seeded Bulldogs will face fourth-seeded Catawba, while second-seeded Lincoln Memorial squares off with third-seeded Anderson. Winners of the semifinal matches will meet for the SAC Championship title Tuesday at approximately 1:30.
