Coker Sweeps South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week Honors
Coker midfielder Haley McCusker has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week and Coker goalie Cassie Williams has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for games played Feb.19-25, the League announced today.
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Coker midfielder Haley McCusker has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week and Coker goalie Cassie Williams has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for games played Feb.19-25, the League announced today.
McCusker, a senior from Warwick, R.I., led the Cobras to a 17-8 win over Converse last week. She scored seven goals for seven points with three ground balls, four draw controls and a caused turnover.
Williams, a sophomore from Rockledge, Fla., posted a save percentage of 52.9 with nine saves in Coker's 17-6 win over Converse last week.
These are the first Player of the Week selections for both McCusker and Williams this season.
