The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Coker attack Faith Kent has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week and Lincoln Memorial goalie Shannon Novak has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for games played Feb. 26-March 4, the League announced today.

Kent, a junior from Winter Springs, Fla., had a huge game for the Cobras last week against Chowan. She scored eight goals with two assists for 10 points, won four draw controls, caused a turnover and picked up a ground ball. Her eight goals, ties a Coker single game record, as does her 10 points.

Novak, a senior from Grosse Point Farms, Mich., led the Railsplitters to a 15-8 win over the No. 8 ranked team in NAIA, Siena Heights. She made 15 saves and had a 65.2 save percentage in the goal for LMU.

These are the first Player of the Week selections for both Kent and Novak this season.
