The South Atlantic Conference Announces Seeds for 2018 Women's Lacrosse Championship
Lenoir-Rhyne won the 2018 South Atlantic Conference Regular Season Championship as it closed out the season with perfect 8-0 record in conference play. With the title, the Bears have earned the No. 1 seed in next week’s South Atlantic Conference Women’s Lacrosse Championship.
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lenoir-Rhyne won the 2018 South Atlantic Conference Regular Season Championship as it closed out the season with perfect 8-0 record in conference play. With the title, the Bears have earned the No. 1 seed in next week's South Atlantic Conference Women's Lacrosse Championship.
Queens earned the No. 2 seed with a record of 7-1 in SAC action, while Catawba took home the No. 3 seed with a 6-2 in conference record. Wingate and Tusculum posted 4-4 records in conference play, but the Bulldogs 17-14 head-to-head win over the Pioneers earned them the No. 4 seed, giving the Pioneers the No. 5 seed. Rounding out the field of six will be Lincoln Memorial with the No. 6 seed. The Railsplitters finished the season with a record of 3-5 in conference.
Lenoir-Rhyne and Queens each earned a bye to semifinals. The quarterfinals will be played on Tuesday, April 24 at campus sites with the semifinals and finals taking place at Wingate University's Graham Gill Field in Wingate, N.C. on April 27 and 29. The tournament schedule is listed below:
