Queens, Limestone and Wingate Ranked in Final NCAA Women's Lacrosse South Region Poll
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference had three schools ranked in the final NCAA South Region Women's Lacrosse poll released by the NCAA on Wednesday (May. 5). Queens came out on top taking the No. 1 spot, followed by Limestone at No.2 and Wingate at No.4.
In addition to the three SAC schools ranked in this week's poll, Mount Olive took the No. 3 spot, Rollins came in at No. 5 and closing out poll was Florida Southern at No. 6.
Queens finished the season with a 12-1 record, Limestone went 11-2 and Wingate followed right behind with an 11-3 record on the season.
The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Women's Lacrosse Committee up to the NCAA Championship selections.
