The South Atlantic Conference Announces Women's Lacrosse Varsity Gem's Players of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its Varsity Gems Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played in the first week of the 2023 season. Limestone's Rylee Johnson was named the offensive player of the week while Mars Hill's Lauren Bryner was named the defensive player of the week.  

Johnson, a freshman attacker from Manahawkin, N.J., led the Saints to a 22-7 win over North Greenville on Saturday afternoon at Pepsi Stadium. She totaled eight points on five goals, three assists, two ground balls, and one caused turnover.

Bryner, a sophomore goalie from Raleigh, N.C., helped the Lions secure a 14-5 win over Emmanuel on Saturday. She played 60 minutes between the posts with nine saves for a 64.3 save percentage.
