The South Atlantic Conference Announces WePlayed Sports Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played during the third week of the 2024 season. Wingate's Kaleigh Wilgeroth was named the Offensive Player of the Week while Limestone's Bailey Stumpf was named the Defensive Player of the Week.

Wilgeroth, a junior from Rocky Point, N.Y., piled up nine goals and an assist for the No. 11 Bulldogs last week. She had three goals and an assist in the 21-3 SAC win at Mars Hill, adding a draw control and three ground balls to go along with a caused turnover. Wilgeroth poured in six goals against No. 15 Embry-Riddle Saturday, adding a caused turnover and a ground ball. On the week, she scored nine goals in just 10 shots.

Stumpf, a senior from Fisherville, Ky., tallied 11 draw controls, 14 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers total in wins over Young Harris and Montevallo on the week. She forced seven of those turnovers just in the Montevallo game alone, anchoring a strong defense while picking up three ground balls.
