The South Atlantic Conference Announces WePlayed Sports Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played during the seventh week of the 2024 season. Anderson's Sophia Santagata was named the Offensive Player of the Week while Wingate's Megan Biase was named the Defensive Player of the Week.

Santagata, a sophomore from North Port, Fla., led the Trojans to two victories on the week to remain undefeated in SAC play. She netted five goals in Wednesday's victory over Lincoln Memorial and followed with three goals and two assists in the win versus Tusculum on Saturday. Santagata also added a draw control on the week.

Biase, a graduate student from Nesconset, N.Y., piled up 14 saves and added five groundballs against No. 11 Rollins on Wednesday. She then notched one save against Emory & Henry on Saturday to secure the second shutout in program history as the Bulldogs won 23-0.
