Wingate’s Kerstin Williams Named Women’s Soccer Player Of The Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. - Wingate University's Kerstin Williams was named the SAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week, conference officials announced today. This is the first time this season Williams has earned the award.

Williams, a 5-7, sophomore forward from Summerville, S.C. (Summerville HS), scored the game-winning goal with two seconds remaining in overtime to give the Bulldogs a thrilling 2-1 victory at Mars Hill. Williams also collected an assist in Wingate's 5-0 win at Brevard, helping the Bulldogs to a 2-0 victory on the week.

The SAC Player of the Week is determined by a vote of the sports information directors of the league.
