Catawba Earns No. 1 Seed as Three SAC Teams Selected to NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament Field
ROCK HILL, S.C. (theSAC.com) – Three South Atlantic Conference teams were selected as part of the 2025 NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Tournament field as announced by the NCAA this evening. Catawba leads the way after sweeping the SAC Regular Season and Conference Tournament title to earn the No. 1 seed in the region.
The Indians boast a 16-0-4 overall record to claim the top spot in Southeast Regional. Catawba will host a four-team opening weekend and will take on the No. 8 seed Belmont Abbey.
Lenoir-Rhyne earned the 6-seed. The Bears are 10-5-2 on the season and will be advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the fifth straight season. They will take on Columbus St. on the campus of North Georgia.
Anderson is the final SAC representative as the No. 7 seed. The SAC Tournament Runners Up will take on No. 2 seed North Georgia. That game will also take place at North Georgia.
