Catawba's Ehmer Named D2CCA Regional Player of the Year; Region-Best 11 from SAC Named All-Region
ROCK HILL, S.C. (theSAC.com) – Bree Ehmer was named the 2025 D2CCA Southeast Region Player of the Year after a breakout season for the Catawba Indians and the South Atlantic Conference led all league's in the region with 11 All-Region selections as announced by D2CCA this afternoon.
A two-time Second-Team honoree, Ehmer jumped up to the highest vote getter at the Forward position this season, taking the Player of the Year vote by a landslide. She was named South Atlantic Conference Offensive Player of the Year after leading the conference with 17 goals on the season, helping lead her team to an undefeated SAC regular season and tournament title. The Catwaba Indians have also been a constant presence in the national rankings, sitting at No. 2 in the country. Ehmer registered six game winning goals this season out of her 17 goals. She ranks tied for third in the nation in scoring while also adding six assists to her tally for a team leading 40 points. She was a key cog in the Catawba offense all season, but crucial in the SAC championship game, where she scored the equalizer to send the match into overtime, where the Catawba Indians prevailed, 3-2, over the Anderson Trojans.
Ehmer is one of seven players from Catawba to be named D2CCA All-Region. Catawba had five first team selections and a pair on the second team. Joining Ehmer on the first team are GK Jenni Dahne, MF Kylie Morin, MF Maria Rayburn and D Lucy Hack.
As a league, the SAC had seven first team selections as Carson-Newman's Annika Fend and Emory & Henry's Charlotte Stavis join the quintet from Catawba.
The second team is made up of Catawba's F Morgan Delair and D Reese Robinson along with Coker's Ella Wilke and Anderson's Camryn Woods. Wilke was named the SAC Freshman of the Year.
