#7 Women’s Tennis rolls to win in NCAA Tourney opener over Erskine

Salisbury, N.C. —- The 7th-ranked and top-seeded Catawba College women's tennis team rolled to a 5-0 win in the opening match of the NCAA Tournament over Erskine on Friday morning at the Johnson Tennis Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED

DOUBLES

- Sofia Antolini and Rin Igarashi picked up a 6-1 in the #2 doubles match

- Agata Budnik and Tina Gomes clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 in the third-ranked doubles match

SINGLES

- Igarashi earned a swift 6-0, 6-2 at the #6 ranked singles match

- Lili Drukerova won 6-1, 6-3 at 4th-ranked singles

- Ami Miya picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win at #3 singles

- Katya Kldiashvili finished off her 6-2, 6-3 win at #5 singles at the same time, finalizing the result

- Hanna Bougouffa led 6-3, 3-2 at the #2 singles match
