USTFCCCA Announces 2020 NCAA DII Women's Indoor Track & Field All-Region Honorees
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its All-Region selections on Monday (Mar. 2) with the SAC receiving 55 men's and 67 women's honors. Queens led the conference with more than 50 honorees between both genders.
No program had more combined All-Region honorees than Queens (N.C.) with 50. The Royals had one more than Grand Valley State (49) and six more than the 44 Lee (Tenn.) snagged.
A total of 1,614 athletes from 156 different institutions earned All-Region honors nationwide with 812 honorees coming from the men's side and an additional 802 from women's teams.
Jenny Koehne of Queens (N.C.) led all of the athletes honored with six nods. Koehne earned All-Southeast Region in the 60 Meters, 200 Meters, 60 Meter Hurdles, High Jump, Long Jump and the pentathlon.
To earn All-Region honors, an athlete must be one of the top-5 individuals in their events in their respective region. In addition, each member of a region's top-3 relay team was selected for the distinction. Top Regional Performers (TRPs) are denoted with an asterisk.
